George Englert has been involved in the financial industry since 1976. A Certified Public Accountant, Certified Financial Planner and Certified Senior Advisor, he conducts his practice in Springfield, Virginia. Earlier in his career he conducted financial audits and reviews at many government agencies, including the Federal Reserve Board, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. George graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Belmont Abbey College. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
His financial practice centers upon the financial needs of higher net worth clients. These needs pertain to investment, tax, insurance, retirement, and estate issues. Once these needs are established he formulates a strategy to satisfy them. He meets with his clients on a regular basis to monitor the strategy and adjusts it when necessary.
Both of George’s parents worked on Wall Street in banking. As a boy he would spend afternoons at his mom’s bank and hanging out on the steps of Federal Hall across from the old J.P. Morgan building, the Stock Exchange, and down the street from Trinity Church. George is a running enthusiast and competes in local road races. He and his wife, Theresa, have lived in the Springfield area for over 38 years.
